Today is my 53rd birthday!
I can honestly say that I am probably in the best shape that I have been for many years. I’m also more confident, happier with my body, I am fitter, healthier and feeling much more in control of my life.
It has been quite a while since I posted in my blog but I have been very busy and very committed to continuing my butterfly transformation. I haven’t lost a lot of weight over the past 5 weeks but then I don’t have a lot to lose, according to many. I’m more toned, definitely slimmer and enjoying the 12wbt Learn to Run program immensely.
In only 5 weeks I have lost a total of 7cm from various parts of my body, increased my non stop running from 2 and a half minutes to just over 10 minutes and am eating better than I could ever had imagined, while still losing weight. I am enjoying preparing quick, easy, delicious, healthy meals and love the helpful shopping list and menu plans.
I bought a pair of size 10 skinny jeans last week as an early birthday present and as an incentive (without trying them on) only to find that they fit like a glove already! No muffin top flopping over the top and very flattering! I was thrilled. Most of my clothes are fitting much better now and some are a bit baggy in certain places. Not bad for only a few weeks of consistent exercise and watching my food intake. The silly season has proven a bit hard with lots of functions to attend but so far I have managed and find that I don’t want to undo all my good work by pigging out. I’m taking a sensible approach.
