Twisting in the vortex – this photo serves two purposes.
1. to participate in the weekly photo challenge theme Twist and 2. to celebrate my daughter’s birthday today which allows me a moment to reminisce.
The photo was taken last year when I visited my eldest daughter in the UK (from Australia) for her very special vintage birthday bash and I dragged her along to visit the Dr Who Experience in Cardiff, Wales. I’m a Whovian (a Dr Who fan) and she isn’t, so she felt she had to pander to her visiting mother and pretend to get involved and enjoy herself. We had this special photo taken of us twisting in the vortex and you can see that I’m really getting into it and she’s a bit more standoffish.
The twist is that she actually enjoyed it far more than she thought she would. I have such great memories of my visit and wish I was there with her again this year. Here’s the blog story of our Visit to see the Doctor on the day of our visit. It was such a fun day for both of us. Happy Birthday Melanie!
I wrote a travel blog of My Big Adventure, this link will take you there if your are interested. Looking forward to seeing how others interpret the twist theme.
Ha! I have a smiliar photo with my husband that we had taken last summer when we visited the Doctor Who Experience. What fun! Nice to meet a fellow Whovian!
