Can’t see the forest for the trees

A training walk this afternoon had us walking through the forest and these trees took my eye. (It’s a shame you can’t smell the eucalyptus from the trees, it was really delightful).

Today’s theme is the natural world and there’s nothing more natural than eucalyptus trees, they are so Australian.

The afternoon light was a lovely golden colour and this stand of trees stood strong and straight.

Instead of playing with the orientation of the strong vertical lines of the trees, I played with the colours, shadows and light.

  1. It’s worked really well. I love finding the patterns in nature. This would make great wallpaper!
