Black and White Challenge #3

This is a Blue Tongue Lizard which lives around our house and shows himself every now and again.  We found him eating the cat’s dry food in the garage just the other day – the cat wasn’t very happy about it but left him to it!  I took this photo with my iPhone and edited it using Instagram.  He’s got his beady little eye watching hasn’t he??

Blue tongue lizards are quite common and aren’t particularly dangerous. Their broad blue tongues are very impressive if you get to see them!  This would mean that you had become a threat and it would be looking at defending itself, so maybe you don’t want to see it too closely!  For more information on what they eat, where they live and how they survive see this link.

I like the patterns on the scaly skin and am happy that the black and white doesn’t take too much away from the photo.

Here’s my photo of the cat not looking too impressed.

I’m up to Day 3 of this challenge which is to post a black and white photo for 5 days  – thanks to the beespeak (thebeespeak.wordpress.com) blog for nominating me.  In case you missed Day 1 and Day 2 photos click on the links. I’m enjoying this process – hope you are too 🙂
