Is the kettle on? I’m coming over for Tea time #4

As a tea lover I am joining Justine’s Tea Time #4 for the first time. I’ve seen the posts before but haven’t managed to make it before.

I like my tea hot, black, weak with one sugar usually in a mug not a cup. I also like real tea if possible but will drink tea bag tea. I’m really not fussy!

As it’s coming up to Australia Day on January 26 I will bring some lamingtons, pavlova and Tim Tams and the video below.  I am watching my weight so I won’t eat anything, but thanks for offering 😊

This video of Australia is for your entertainment over a cup of tea, especially those who are feeling the cold in northern climes. Hopefully it warms you up and gets your toes tapping. (I posted it recently on my blog).

As we’re chatting over our tea I’ll tell you that January is a huge month for sport here in the land of Oz. We are watching tennis, cricket, cycling – usually all at once and trying to stay cool at the same time. I  have posted a photo from our trip to Melbourne, this time last year, at the Australian Open tennis tournament, on a 44 degree Celsius day. We watched tennis players run around the court hitting a ball – it was so hot I really don’t know how they did it!

Well that’s it for now! Thanks for having me over, I hope you enjoyed the video and the chat and I’ll try to join you all again for a relaxing cup of tea next time.

  2. Oooh this is great. Now firstly thank you for coming to Tea Time, as your being healthy I shall just offer you tea and no cake if that is alright, mind you the blondie brownies don’t look too fattening that were offered up by sarahs little kitchen. I loved the video, I have never been to Australia, but would love to go, I saw a clip on that guy who died, the nature guy who got stung by a stingray, wow that was so sad i remember when that happened. It looks absolutely stunning and amazing how different it is right there to here right now, you brought some sunshine in to my day thank you 🙂 xxx
