Eclectic Corner #11, week 3, Momentarily – Favourite Quote

Eclectic Corner #11 week 3 is all about our favourite quotes, with the theme this month being Momentarily.  I love all sorts of quotes and have many little books full of inspirational quotes, messages and thoughts.  Quotes can help focus my thoughts and often sum up my feelings in just a few words, much better than I ever seem to be able to!

I must admit that I have a thing about Dr Seuss at the moment. Although Dr Seuss is known for children’s books, many of them have relevance to all age groups and can indeed be quite profound.

Did you know that Seuss didn’t have any children of his own?  When asked about this he is reportedly quoted as saying:

“You have ’em; I’ll entertain ’em.”

I found these two quotes and couldn’t choose between them, so I have included them both for your enjoyment.

I think my chosen quotes reflect the theme of momentarily and are very relevant to my poem last week.  They remind me that I mustn’t take any moments for granted and to value special times. Do you get the same message from these quotes or something else?

If you have a favourite quote I’d love to hear from you! Leave me a message below.

In case you missed my previous posts for Eclectic Corner #11 here they are:

Week 1 – Photo – Was a photo of me Momentarily caught napping

Week 2 – Poem/writing piece – I wrote a poem called Momentarily after I had attended the funeral of a work colleague the day before.

Thanks again for visiting me and make sure you check out Justine at Eclectic Odds n sods for more eclectic fun.

Deb 🙂

  2. Are you all in such synchronicity that even the quotes are the same?
And thanks for these beautiful and insightful quotes. Great reminders.
