A touch of frost

I couldn’t have said it better myself!

It is the life of the crystal,

the architect of the flake,

the fire of the frost,

the soul of the sunbeam.

This crisp winter air is full of it.

John Burroughs (Winter Sunshine)

I was on my way to work on a frosty freezing cold morning.  I had to get out of the car to open the gate at the end of the driveway and just had to get these close up  photos of the frost on the vines and fence post.  I forgot about them until later that evening and finally got around to looking at them. Considering they were taken with my IPhone, I didn’t think they were too bad!

I hope you get the freezing feeling…there’s snow on the main range and the ski season is about to open!

Enjoy the Queen’s birthday long weekend (only in Aus)

    1. I do too, especially in on glorious sunny days like today, after a huge frost. Too many wet miserable days can get a bit wearing though. I tend to use those days for snuggling up with a good book. You might like to know that I’ve just been out for a run and there’s still frozen puddles up in the forest. Was good to get out in the daytime though.

  1. Looks COLD! We up here in Michigan in the States are heading (finally) into summer. We had a horribly cold winter so I’m looking forward to some warmth. But for your sake I hope the summer moves along for us so that you can then move toward warmth yourself!

    1. Bonus points for not knowing it was a long weekend desleyjane! I’ve been counting down the days all week. Enjoy the extra day off , now that you know not to go to work on Monday 🙂
Glad they radiate the cold for you!
