At certain times of the year we have our very own vivid light show. The hill/mountain overlooking our town glows red with the late afternoon sun. I managed to capture it looking vivid just this week!
It is my ‘natural’ take on the vivid theme for this week’s photo challenge.

Last year I was in Sydney and was lucky enough to see the VIVID light show at the harbour. It was absolutely amazing!
When I’m in a big city, I always look around at the people looking grim in their dark, black clothing with their serious faces on, intent on getting to where they have to be as quickly as possible, and I think that they need to lighten up. Vivid is just what they need!

Great topic for this week, as winter sets in, for those of us down here in the southern hemisphere! Looking forward to seeing other takes on vivid.
What a wonderful sight. And I’m glad you got to visit last year. It does make people happy. 🙂

Great to have you visit, thanks for your lovely comment. Your guest hosting and photo was a breath of fresh, albeit wintery, air.

That is one amazing hill in your backyard. For a moment I thought it was Ayers Rock

Yes I agree, another friend commented similarly. It is the view we have from our property! It turns a glorious red some afternoons and is just beautiful. Usually it’s quite a drab grey/green Aussie bush colour so I was glad to capture the ‘vividness’ of it the other afternoon. I ran along the track, took the photo, kept running for abut 10 minutes then by the time I came back up the hill the colour was gone.
