Photo Rehab Weekly Photo Challenge: Cover Makeover #5

This week’s Photo Rehab Cover Makeover, (a fun challenge from my blogging friends Lucile and Desleyjane) is an album cover, Simply Red’s Simplified from 2005. I like a splash of colour and couldn’t resist using this photo from my recent trip to Australia’s Red Centre.  We stayed at the Sails in the Desert resort and our delightful room had this colourful carpet on…

Every day is an adventure – 53/365

Now that was an adventure! An adventure from a while ago I’ll admit, but oh what an adventure it was!  If you know anything about me (It’s all about me) I hate heights,  edges and being out of control basically. Can you see me gripping onto the rail in  front of me despite being connected, I wasn’t letting go for anything!…

Every day is an adventure – 52/365

A little piece of paradise is today’s adventure! This gorgeous flower was in the garden at my parents-in-law and the sunny orange colour took my fancy.  It’s called a bird of paradise. They are beautiful flowers and make me smile every time I see them. What a great adventure….going to paradise for the day! My daily photo project is progressing nicely and…

Every day is an adventure – 51/365

Whip it! –  today’s adventure These shrubs are beautiful and they are everywhere out near Uluru.  I presume they are made this way by the wind but if I’m wrong please feel free to correct me. What an adventure it was with all the red dirt, the big blue sky and amazing scenery! My daily photo project is progressing nicely and…

Every day is an adventure – Day 50/365

I’m still standing – today’s adventure This tree may look dead but I’m not too sure. It’s still standing which in my book means that it’s resilient if nothing else. I’d like to think that I too can be resilient. I have made it to 50 days in my Every Day series, so that says something I suppose 🙂 My daily…

Waving while running

Running and blogging over the age of 50 – a rare combination?

I recently found this very interesting site, Run Young 50, which talks about women from all over the world, who are over 50 and who also blog about running. My blogging (and running) friend Annie at Unsporty Women Can Run was featured on this list and I am thrilled to say that I’m now featured on it as well!!  There are a few…

Every day is an adventure – Day 49/365

This is my adventure shot for the day because every adventure should start with shiny red shoes! A little friend turned 2 recently and her birthday party was a fun event with fairy bread, chocolate crackles, cake, pass the parcel and balloons….and lots of little people. I spotted these little shiny red shoes and fell in love with them. My daily photo project is…

Photo Rehab Cover Makeover – challenge #4

This week’s Photo Rehab Cover Makeover, (a new challenge from my blogging friends Lucile and Desleyjane) is a book, which I haven’t read, called The Invention of Solitude by Paul Auster. According to Lucile: In the excerpt we learnt that this book is “Paul Auster’s moving and personal meditation on fatherhood. The first section, ‘Portrait of an Invisible Man’, reveals Auster’s memories and…

Tea Time #13 – One Cup Pancakes, Sencha Orange & Spice + Top 3 Reveals

So here we are at Tea Time #13.

This week will be a little different as there is no InLinkz attached to this tea time party, because yay I am going on holiday in a few days and so will re-start both the Tea Parties and Eclectic Corner challenges in September.

Meanwhile, if you have any suggestions for the challenges I hold, things you would like to see or not see in future etc, please feel free to either comment or message me via e-mail if you wish.

So from Saturday I will be in sunny France and pretty much offline, don’t worry I will reply when I get back, week starting 10th August.  Poor little Teddy goes for a big operation on the 11th so I will be biting nails and be trying to…
