Another week, another Photo Rehab Cover Makeover – a new challenge from my blogging friends Lucile and Desleyjane!
This week we have a movie called Winter’s Tale which I haven’t seen but apparently stars Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay (from Downton Abbey) and Russell Crowe and we are to make a new cover for it using an archived photo or a new one.
Desley says “I thought that it would be a good reminder for all of you lucky northern hemisphere bloggers to remember what winter was like, and find a wonderful wintery photo to share for this challenge. And think of us southern hemisphere bloggers (I’m in Australia) as we are in winter right now.”
I used a photo from a beautiful spot in our local area called Sugar Pine walk. I chose a photo with some snow lying around as it is the middle of winter here at the moment and very cold – it also suits the movie’s title. I love this photo with the shadows across the path and the people in the distance (did you see them?).
I used the Over app on my phone to add the text to the photo and then uploaded it to my media library. I find it quite hard to choose a colour for the text so that it stands out – does anyone else have this problem?
I look forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with for this new challenge. Thanks to Desley for this week’s theme and I hope Lucile is enjoying her holidays.
Deb 🙂
I’m so jealous that you get snow!
What a great photo and cool cover. Yes choosing a font colour is difficult, I agree. Sometimes I fade the photo a little or make the font thicker or bolder.
Great work Deb 🙂

Thanks for the suggestions Desley, I’ll try to do those next time. Happy to have it done!
