Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge: Nature (spring)

If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere. ~Vincent Van Gogh

Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge has Nature as the theme for this week.

Protea

We’ve had the most beautiful weather over the weekend, so warm and summery all of a sudden!  Last week we were cold with our wood fires still burning and this week we are all feeling the heat – that’s nature for you! Today it was 31 degrees celcius which is absurd for this time of the year.  Daylight Saving started here over the weekend so we have had to adjust all our clocks too.

Protea

Despite having the reputation of being a non-gardener, I have been busy lately with planting pots and hanging baskets of colourful little things.  These are pictures of one of my new favourites.  It’s a type of protea – it’s very pretty don’t you think? I like the soft colours and the shape of the flower. I love nature!

I took these shots today with my iPhone as part of the mobile challenge.  At the moment the garden is responding to the spring temperatures with trees turning a lovely shade of green, with leaves unfurling as we watch them, flowers flowering and the grass growing under our feet.  We are busy getting everything looking nice because our daughter  is getting married in just a few week’s time.  Although the wedding won’t be here we will no doubt have lots of visitors.protea

I’d love to hear what you think.

    1. Thanks Janet, I love the colours too and delicious is a great way to describe it. The wedding will be fun I’m sure. Enjoy your autumn, it’s another of my favourite times of the year.

        1. And then next spring in your time zone you’ll be making us all jealous!! It’s great having friends around the world to delight in their opposite seasons – if that makes sense!! 🌷🌼

  1. Each of your images gets up close to show the beauty and hues of the flower. While you are going into spring, we are definitely into autumn. Spring brings such hope and rejuvenation to the landscape. Enjoy it all. Happy Photo Challenge.
