It’s the first Monday of the month which means it’s Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge – and this week the theme is Nature.
On our way home from a bit of a road trip on the weekend, I spotted these rolls of pink silage sitting in amongst the green spring grass. I liked the contrast of the green grass, rolling hills, pink silage, fluffy white clouds and blue sky.
This lone pink roll took my fancy!
Spring is a beautiful season but very temperamental, just the day before there had been a severe downpour. The rain was very much appreciated but the way it was delivered was a bit dramatic. Yet you wouldn’t know that by looking at these pictures would you? Nature is amazing in all her various forms.
I captured these pics on my iPhone while we drove along – don’t worry I wasn’t driving!
Deb 🙂
I have never seen pink rolls of hay before! That was very cool!

The first image is a sweeping landscape with a truly unusual scene. I’ve never seen silage (had to find out what it meant) and the result of the fermentation makes for a fascinating image. The rolling hills and the colors are very 19th century and painterly. Well done. Happy Photo Challenge.

Glad you weren’t driving, Deb. 🙂 That pink cover would have caught my attention as well.
