Mundane Monday – Tin roof rusted

Thanks to the B-52’s for this great line from ‘Love Shack’ – just perfect to use with my photo of a rusty tin roof!

Tin roof rusted.

On a recent bushwalk along the Hume & Hovell walking track, we came upon this old hut which was used by workers in years gone by. It was a classic piece of early Australian architecture and very much in the middle of nowhere.

I love the rusted tin roof set against the sparkling blue sky on a warm summer’s day. The rusty panels seem to line up with the soaring gum trees and create a sense of symmetry.

In its day it was very mundane but for us walkers it was a delightful find.

    1. All these great lines are coming out now!! I love singing along to it too. We’ve all been humming along together I think.
I’m glad the roof and sack resonate with you, it’s a lovely old place with so much history.
