Mundane Monday – firewood collection

It’s not that this mundane pile of sticks looks particularly beautiful but it’s what this mundane pile of sticks will create when winter comes –  that’s where the beauty comes into it!

In our town the getting of firewood is a national pastime. It starts very early in the year when the temperature is raging and everyone starts to get in their supplies.

Just to make it a bit more interesting I used an overlay of fire onto my original photo of my pile of starter sticks. It won’t be long and we will be needing all these and more!

The Mundane Monday Challenge is hosted by Jithin at PhoTrabloggeron a Monday and is ….a challenge created to find beauty in everyday mundane things…capture the beauty and upload the photographs. Feel free to join in!

Love this Deb. And I can very much relate. We have a big pile of wood out the back waiting for a bonfire and a woodshed of wood ready for the koonara this winter.

It’s beautiful Deb, and so is the prospect of the warmth it will bring.

Many thanks. Lucky you heading into the warm weather. I can’t complain though as we’ve had a great summer here.

You’re welcome! Well, so far no sign of warmth. But we’ll get there eventually!
You have more stable seasons over there.

Oh, I don’t know, Deb… I’ve just posted a couple of photos of sticks (leafless branches!) before they became firewood! 😉

That is a clever way thing to overlay a picture of fire onto the firewood. And of course whatever that bring warmth during winter are beautiful indeed, however mundane it might be!!

Thanks! I hope I wasn’t breaking any rules by thinking of what beauty it would bring in the future. 😊
