It’s Phriday – in the capital
We were in Canberra earlier in the week, with my daughter, son in law and some friends from the UK, and we went for a walk up Mt Ainslie. It was the first time we’ve walked up Mt Ainslie and considering we’ve visited Canberra many times, and like walking, I did wonder why we haven’t done it before. Our English friends enjoyed the uphill track, through the Aussie bush, with colourful birds and lots of people out and about on a crisp winter’s morning. Many people were running up and down the track, it’s quite common to use it as a training run apparently. I’ll have to build my running up a bit before I attempt to run up and down the track.
The views from the walk were spectacular and once at the top the whole of Canberra was laid out beautifully before us.
I took this photo on my iPhone 6S, edited and posted it in my Instagram feed. (If you’re on Instagram look me up: @debs__world)
I must say that I’m very impressed with the clarity of the photo all things considered! The walk was a capital idea for many reasons.
Canberra is a lovely city and many people don’t know that it’s actually the capital of Australia.
iPhriday is where we get to share a photo taken during the week with a mobile phone. Thanks to Lisa at Graydaysandcoffee for starting this Friday obsession. You can see my previous iPhriday posts by clicking this link – iPhriday posts.
It’s really surprising what our phones can do these days isn’t it?
Enjoy your weekend!
Deb 🙂
Yes it is amazing the quality of Iphone photos. My husband is working in Canberra this year and flying back on weekends. I’m getting a headstart on the school holidays and flying up for three days next weekend. We will go to the galleries and not sure what else. How long does that walk take?

Not long at all really, you can be up and down within an hour easy. Another good one is at Tidbinbilla. Walking or riding around the lake is also great, as long as the weather is kind. Hope you enjoy your time there 😄
