iPhriday – fun on the tractor

It’s Phriday – tractor fun

After a busy week at work and weeks of wet, cold days complete with snow (see my Wordless Wednesday post if you don’t believe me) it was nice to come home today to a sunny, but still chilly, afternoon.

My husband has been on school holidays, working on jobs around the house.  Today he was in the paddock when I got home so I wandered up to see him.  He had the old grey fergie tractor out and was collecting wood from a tree that had fallen during the high winds earlier this week.  Once he had finished he drove the tractor back to the house with me holding tightly onto the roll bar while balancing on the carryall. It was a bit exciting!

The sun was shining, the sky was blue and cloudless as we lurched through the paddock over the soggy, waterlogged ground.  I took this photo as we drove along – I loved the shadow play and the golden afternoon light.

It was so nice to be able to get outside, I feel like I’ve been housebound for quite some time. Once the sun goes down it’s good to be inside near the fire.  I’m really hoping the sun can stay around for the weekend.
