I was recently nominated on Facebook to post a photo of myself from more than 15 years ago, every day for 5 days. This had me flipping through old albums and enjoying a trip down memory lane. It’s great to go back in time! I thought I’d share my five photos here with you all for Throwback Thursday.
Day 1: My first photo features my littlest sister, Carol (as she was the one who nominated me), back in early 1978 before she officially became my ‘sister’. We’ve been friends from the first time we met.

Day 2: this one is definitely over 15 years ago! One of my favourite photos, I’m pretty cute here but dad is the star of this pic!

Day 3: This is me at Bilinga (Qld) feeding Sammy the Seal. We had a family tradition of having our photos taken feeding the seal every few years – the place is long gone now.

Day 4: This is an oldie but a goodie – Grant & I were on our honeymoon at the Gold Coast in 1980 when a photographer recognised us from our home town and took this pic to put into the local paper.

Day 5: I really wanted to use a family photo for my final entry but I couldn’t find any that wouldn’t create havoc with one or more of my daughters. So I went with this one of me at a party held in our honour in 2000 while visiting friends in Bath UK. I like it as it brings back happy memories of great friends, amazing travels and fun times.

Bonus photo: one of my daughters thought I was most remiss in not including any photos of them throughout the five days of photos. I really couldn’t find too many that were good of all of them and didn’t want to upset them, although I did look long and hard. I found this one from Christmas 1990 which shows them in their matching Christmas dresses (which I made them each year) and despite the youngest not feeling too well, it’s one of only a handful of older photos that’s OK of them all.
Way to go Throwback Thursday!
Do you enjoy looking back at old photos too? Thanks for allowing me to share some history.
Deb

Thanks Louise!! I love seeing the bright eyed busy tailed me of yesteryear every so often. I’m still in there somewhere.

Yes Deb, the bright eyed bushy tailed part of you is still well and truly there! I need to get some old shots happening of me too – time.
