Share Your World – February 20 2017

It’s time again for Cee’s Share Your World It’s a great way to join with other bloggers to share our worlds. Cee asks a set of four questions with two bonus questions which are optional.  The idea is to answer without overthinking the questions and have some FUN. Feel free to join in by copying the questions and posting your answers.

This week’s questions are:

When you cut something with scissors, do you move your jaw (as if you were about to chew)?

No and I don’t know of anyone who does this.  Is this a real thing?  I’ll have to do some research.

Do you chew your pens and pencils?

Sometimes I might do this, but I’m more likely to chew on the stems of my reading glasses.  Bad habit I know 😦

Are you a collector of anything?  If so what?

Not anymore.  I used to collect turtle knickknacks when I was younger.  My husband says I now collect shoes and clothes….. 🙂

What size is your bed?

We have a double bed – and most people who know this can’t believe it as my husband is 193 cm tall (6’3″).  There’s  a story there!  We bought our beautiful brass bed when we first married (37 years ago) and have tired to replace it over the years but just can’t bring ourselves to get rid of it.  Nothing appeals to us as much, so we’ve just kept it. We’ve obviously replaced the mattress in that time 🙂

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week – I had a mini-break in Melbourne and had an absolute ball.  I wrote a post yesterday Melbourne Musings on a Monday  I did so many fun things and enjoyed spending time with my sister and brother-in-law.  I also met up with two favourite bloggers for the first time – read all about it here: Blogger meetup – and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It’s such a funny thing knowing someone only through their blog and then meeting them in person – a ‘must do’ if you ever get the chance!  They were just as I imagined and we all got on famously! I’m grateful for these fantastic opportunities.

The week ahead – We have our town’s annual festival TUMBAFEST where we have music, markets, food stalls, wine tastings, cooking demos – throughout the coming weekend.  It’s a great event and this year is the 20th anniversary since the first Tumbafest. We have visitors arriving on Friday so I’m looking forward to fun times ahead.

I’ll leave you with a lovely picture from one of he gardens we visited in Melbourne – the Alfred Nicholas Gardens in the Dandenong Ranges just out of Melbourne, a gorgeous place to visit if you’re ever in the area.

Thanks again for visiting my world.  Enjoy the week ahead everyone!

Deb 🙂
