The green green grass of home

Green is said to be the colour of nature and health. It is associated with ecological movements, natural therapies, life,  youth, money, hope…

It IS Easy Being Green is the prompt for this week’s photo challenge.  I like the colour green but orange is still my favourite.

Here are a few of my green flavoured photos.

After waking to the dreadful news in London this morning I posted this update on my Facebook page with the photo below which I’d taken just yesterday afternoon.  I love travelling but I also appreciate where I live, the beauty that can be found in our own backyards should never be underestimated. My thoughts go to everyone involved in the dreadful events in London and around the world.

Living here is the best! Life is so precarious at times, it’s good to get out and soak up the views in your own backyard, especially when it looks like this! How lucky are we to live where we live??

There’s no place like home!

Enjoy your week and take a moment to look around your own area to see the everyday beauty!  The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

  1. Yes, see your backyard before venturing away from it. We did Motorhoming for ten years off and on full time around NZ. The safety issue, I used to believe that downunder was a haven, now I am not so sure. Our threat to our paradise comes within with domestic violence especially child abuse! On a more positive note, love your photos 🙂

    1. Thanks Suzanne! I feel for everyone suffering the fear of attacks and dealing with it all. At the moment I’m quite happy with my own picturesque backyard views and photos of happier travels.

      1. Yes, Debbie, I think there will come a time when we will have had enough of travelling overseas and will come back to rediscover our backyard. As you say there is no place like home and downunder will always be home to us both.
