Share Your World – April 3 2017

It’s time again for Cee’s Share Your World, I’m a bit late but I’ve got a good excuse! Share Your World (SYW) is all about having a safe place for everyone to answer four random questions that Cee posts each week.

This week the questions have been posed by ribbonrx as Cee has been unwell (hope you are feeling better soon Cee).

• Answer four questions each week.
• Bonus Question is always the same “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”  Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.  

The idea is to answer without overthinking the questions and have some FUN. Feel free to join in by copying the questions, writing your answers in a new post and linking back to the original post.  I always have fun when I write these posts.

This week’s questions are:

What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way?

This one is a bit tricky! What constitutes as old-fashioned these days? I’ll go with:

• Use good manners – be polite, respectful of others and think before you speak.

What’s your favorite genre of book or movie?

I love reading anything – fantasy, science fiction, apocalypse type stories, historical fiction are favourites. I recently read The Passage trilogy by Justin. Cronin, on the recommendation of my daughter, and really enjoyed it.

My favourite movies are comedies, romcoms and dramas.  Lately I’ve seen Hidden Figures and Lion which have cemented themselves up there in my favourites of all time list! Interestingly these are both based on true stories and are neither comedies or romcoma – go figure!

How often do you people watch?

Whenever I can! It’s a fantastic past-time especially when I’m in the city. I look at people’s faces and wonder what they’re thinking, what their day has been like, if they’re happy or not.  I like to make up stories in my head about them too.  My sister takes photos of strangers which is a form of people watching.  She does ask them first 😊

What have you only recently formed an opinion about?

After leaving fulltime work I realised that loyalty isn’t always rewarded as I had once believed.

This leads onto my newest opinion about time: Once you retire from fulltime work time goes quicker. Some days at work would drag by so slowly but now days just race by.  This picture of the meerkat, is my ‘Why is it so?’ face.

The weeks ahead – I have a fun couple of weeks ahead with trips up north to spend time with my daughter, my parents and my siblings. Thankfully Cyclone Debbie is now an ex Cyclone and I can reclaim my name.
