  2. I too am an MOB. Like you, my youngest daughter is getting married – but I don’t have so long to wait. My daughter’s wedding is in less than two weeks!!! The wedding is a location wedding – in Tasmania- but I don’t think that counts because she lives there. I, however, don’t and so I’ve spent loads of time on phone calls, FaceTime calls, and sending and receiving messages. I am deeply involved in the organisation and loving it. I feel very fortunate that my daughter has invited me to be part of organising her big day.
    We have made myriad decisions together – consulting closely on loads of the details. It’s been great. I’m getting very excited – about the wedding but also about seeing the family together. I think that’s one of the great things about weddings – the opportunity for families to come together. Especially when they’re scattered all across Australia like mine are. It seems that weddings are the only times we’ve been together lately.
    So lots of excitement and anticipation and decisions and communication. No melt downs, no one’s had their cranky pants on … it’s all going swimmingly!

    1. I know you will be a MOB very soon! How exciting!! I’m glad you’ve managed to work the distance issues out and get involved. It’s also good you are included in decisions and I’m sure your input is very much appreciated. See you soon!

  4. Such a lovely family you have got, the photos are gorgeous, I read and really enjoyed the post. So, there is a dream wedding coming up soon, you must be mega excited. Not long to go, 4 months …I am now already looking forward to reading all about it 🙂 Plenty of photos please!!

    1. Thanks Shirley, people often say that we are alike. She’s so tall and willowy, which she gets from her father, and I often don’t see past that. It was a great opportunity to write about my experiences (as a guest blogger) and I loved it!!

    1. Thanks for noticing that! I actually got my robe in the colour of my outfit (purple) so we all matched. The bride in white, bridesmaids in yellow and me in purple. I loved the whole thing 😊
