It’s time for Share Your World again, a highlight of my week. The weeks seem to be coming around a bit too quickly lately! Do you find that too?
I love the idea of getting to know a bit more about other bloggers and this is a great way of doing just that. Please note I never sit and think too long about the questions, I usually put in the first things that come into my head. It’s way more fun that way 🙂
Last week I also added in my husband’s answers and it was very well received, so I thought I’d try to make it a regular feature. The funny thing is he rarely reads my blog, so he won’t know what I’ve done!
Q.What is something that people are obsessed with but you just don’t get the point of?
A. Terrorism – of any kind, anywhere in the world. US President news updates (we live in Australia not US) . Politicians of any ilk. Those little fidgety things that are all the rage at the moment. Cleaning the house when you know it will only get messy again….
Mr H: Blogging!
Q. What quirky things do people do where you are from?
A. Collect firewood – it’s like a national sport in our little town which starts in the baking heat of January with everybody getting ready for winter in 6 months time.
Say hello to everyone they pass in the street, it can sometimes take a long time to do your shopping!! OK, maybe this isn’t quirky, maybe it’s just a small town friendly thing. I think it’s nice and I like the friendliness of our locals.
Mr H: My wife blogs all the time – that’s quirky enough for me!
Q. What are some things you wish you could unlearn?
A. Procrastination – who taught me that one?? It’s something I could do without knowing how to do it so well, when I get around to unlearning it I’ll let you know 😉
Mr H: As a former teacher I believe you never stop learning and everything you’ve learnt makes you the person you are.
Q. Who is someone that you miss having in your life?
A. My daughters, although they are in my life, they live a long way away and sometimes I wish I just could pop around to see them.
Mr H: Cliff (my husband’s younger brother who died very suddenly nearly 3 years ago aged 55 – still so sad)
Bonus questions: What are grateful for from last week? Seeing the Wonder Woman movie, visiting the National Arboretum and seeing the beautiful bonsai collection, relaxing at home, reading a great book, friends, seeing one of my daughters, family and warm sunshine on a winter’s day.
What are you looking forward to in the week ahead? A trip to see my mother for her birthday and catching up with one of my daughters and other family members.
Are you wondering What Share Your World is all about?
Share Your World is a fun way to get to know each other through our blogs. Cee posts four random questions for those who want to participate and it’s always interesting to read what others have written in their responses.
- Answer four questions each week.
- Bonus Questions are always the same “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?” Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.
The idea is to answer the questions without overthinking them and just have FUN. Feel free to join in by copying the questions, writing your answers in a new post and linking back to Cee’s original post.
Thanks again for visiting my world. You can see all my past Share Your World posts here if you’re keen – Share Your World
Feel free to join in with this fun challenge and remember I always love hearing from you if you’d like to leave me a comment.
Enjoy the week ahead everyone!
