It’s Tuesday here and time to enjoy this fun, easy and relatively quick post where I get to share my answers to four random questions that Cee poses on her blog. As you may know, recently I’ve been sharing answers from my husband , my mother and last week my youngest daughter was “invited” to join my Share Your World post. (When I say ‘invited‘ I mean I sent her a message with four random questions and asked her to tell me what her answers would be. Her response was “I’m sure these are random and not prescribed by the blogging overlords”!! )
This week I sent the questions to my middle daughter, not sure if she’d respond, and to my surprise she did! No questions as to what I was doing, why I wanted her answers to random questions or any comment at all. I think that shows my family are getting used to my weird behaviour and just go with the flow to humour me.
What is your favourite cheese?
Me: I like most cheese but have a soft spot for Cheddar. 25 years ago our family did a Teacher Exchange from Australia to Cheddar (a small village in the South West of England) for a whole year. I know most people associate the word Cheddar with cheese but I immediately think of my second home in UK. The interesting thing is that my eldest daughter has returned to live in the village she first lived in when she was just a youngster. I love visiting!
Miss S: Brie
Are you left or right handed?
Me: Right handed
Miss S: Right handed
Do you prefer exercising your mind or your body? How frequently do you do either?
Me: I prefer exercising my body but I believe balance is very important. I try to go out for a walk or a run each day but lately the winter weather has made that nearly impossible. I find blogging exercises my brain and I enjoy the mental challenges it presents. I’ve got a run coming up at the end of the month. I thought I’d registered for the 5km run but having received my bib I discovered it’s a 6km run! I’ve been training for 5km so it will be interesting to see how I manage, especially as I haven’t done too much training recently! My daughter and I have run together in the Mother’s Day Classic in Canberra for several years now.
Miss S: Exercising my mind, I do daily puzzles (7 little words and Sudoku). Don’t exercise as much as I should. I enjoy walking/running as it exercises both mind and body.
Complete this sentence: Hot days are …
Me: Hot days are just a dream at the moment, as we’re in the depths of winter down here.
Miss S: Hot days are the best especially when at the beach.
I love the idea of getting to know a bit more about other bloggers (and other family members) and this is a great way of doing just that. Please note I never sit and think too long about the questions, I usually put in the first things that come into my head. It’s much more fun that way 🙂
Bonus questions:“What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?” Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.
Last week I was grateful to be at home all week without any real plans. A few meetings here and there, get-togethers, a dentist appointment which I’m hugely grateful for not needing anything done and a few runs in the forest. I also thoroughly enjoyed the book A Man called Ove, which I read within two days, it was a great read .
This week I’ll be away visiting my parents in law, seeing my sister(s) in law and hopefully seeing my niece and nephew. It’s the third anniversary of my brother in law’s sudden death and we are grateful for the time we can spend together remembering him. I just believe it’s been three years since the shock.
Are you wondering What Share Your World is all about?
Cee’s Share Your World is a fun way to get to know each other through our blogs. Cee posts four random questions for those who want to participate and it’s always interesting to read what others have written in their responses.
- Answer four questions each week.
- Bonus Questions are always the same “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?” Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.
The idea is to answer the questions without overthinking them and just have FUN. Feel free to join in by copying the questions, writing your answers in a new post and linking back to Cee’s original post.
Thanks again for visiting my world. You can see all my past Share Your World posts here if you’re keen – Share Your World
Feel free to join in with this fun challenge and remember I always love hearing from you if you’d like to leave me a comment.
Enjoy the week ahead everyone!
