From our family to yours

Christmas greetings from our family to yours

Christmas greetings to you all!

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you – to those of you who take the time to read my blog, those who ‘like’ my posts and leave me a comment, those who generously share my posts and those who interact so regularly that I now call you ‘friends’ despite having never met you in real life!

It’s been one of the best things about blogging – the meeting of like minded souls and the ‘click’ that just happens when reading someone’s blog.

Thankyou for your support and encouragement throughout the year. It can be lonely at times, blogging away when others don’t ‘get it’ and roll their glazed eyes when you try to explain the reason why you enjoy it so much. Your input has helped me enormously and I have benefitted greatly from reading your posts and learning new things.

2017 was a great year for Deb’s World and I look forward to continuing our friendship in years to come.

I saw this sign on a shop today and it made me smile: Christmas – the only time of year where you can sit in front of a dead tree and eat chocolates out of old socks!

Wishing you peace and happiness now and into the year ahead.

With grateful thanks and love!

Deb xx

  1. I hope you had a great Christmas. I agree one of the best things about blogging is ‘clicking’ and discovering people that know where you’re coming from and what you’re all about. That feeling of not being alone, yet also being totally alone and out there for the world to see.
    I wish you a great 2018!

  4. Merry Christmas, Deb! I agree about non-bloggers not getting it. My best friend actually said to me, “Why would anyone want to read something like that?!” Ouch! But those who don’t blog also don’t understand the connections that exist among bloggers! Enjoy this wonderful holiday and wishing you a fabulous blogging 2018! ~ Lynn

  5. Merry Christmas, Debbie – That is so true about many non-bloggers just not getting it. I have a couple of friends (one in particular) who radiate an intense look of fear anytime that the ‘B’ word is mentioned (and trust me, I don’t mention it very often). Their whole body language is “Sorry dear, they are not your real friends…and please don’t bore me with any details of why you love writing or blogging”. They then go on to speak about their Grandchildren for 17 hours straight (not that Grandchildren aren’t interesting…but seriously).
Wishing you a fabulous year ahead….with many great posts and blogging connections to come!

    1. I had a right laugh reading this 🙂 Especially when you mention that B word 🙂 Yes, trying doing our lifestyle and you can imagine the comments we receive from family and friends back “home”.

  6. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your blog Debbie and look forward to your posts in 2018. The quote made me laugh. When writing my post yesterday about our driftwood tree, I asked my husband about a title, he said “dead twigs in our lounge room!???” Merry Christmas to you and your family 🙂
