choose a theme we enjoyed or found challenging, and show a different aspect from before.
This was a fun exercise but I ended up choosing a photo that could have fit into a few categories- summer, blue, play, water- because it made me smile. I loved watching these two elderly ladies go through the process of entering the water via the ladder and snapped this shot instinctively. I like to think they do this every day.
As I said in my comment, I had to stop and think about where I was, until the pebbly sand reminded me I wasn’t in Australia.
I’ve enjoyed sharing our weekly posts throughout this challenge as it shows the creativity we all have inside us. We are all unique in what we see and how we interpret the weekly themes and we have fun with it.
That means next week is our last photo for the 52 week photo project- with the theme of self portrait.

This is a redo of the black and white theme. It’s a style I’ve always wanted to do more of and these white lilies provided a great opportunity.
I’m not sure if this is a rewind to the themes of Summer, water, blue or play. We cycled 10kms to the beach at Karrebaeksminde (in Denmark) for a quick dip where I spotted these two elderly ladies using a ladder to enter the water for their (presumably) daily swim. The blue water, the blue sky, the heatwave conditions and the beach made me stop for a moment to remember where I was! Watching these two ladies made me smile and reminded me that we’re never too old to do something we enjoy.
