A New World Order as Autumn takes over

A New World Order

The light was golden, like a sepia toned photograph.

She said goodbye and walked off into the sunset.

Autumn was her season and it was ending here, making way for winter with its cold, dark days, freezing temperatures and the inevitable sadness.

She had to go, she couldn’t stay any longer in this world. Her time was up.

A new world was waiting where the season was moving into autumn and she was needed. Her strength and love were vital for autumn to succeed in this new world.  The responsibilities were endless but she was more than capable of succeeding, hadn’t she done it all before, many times over?

Memories of past autumns flashed before her eyes but she put them from her mind as she wandered off into the sunset.

And the sepia tones of autumn swallowed her up, ready to deposit her in the new land of another world.

Spreading Autumn’s love in this new world order, (incidentally called Deb’s World)  – what a wondrous job she had!

Thanks to Lorna at Gin and Lemonade  for this writing prompt and photo. The prompt was to write about a Sepia toned Fall memory, although I had to change Fall to Autumn 😊. I had fun trying out my creative writing skills and admit to getting my Dr Who on for this one.

Let me know what you think of my response to the prompt.  I always love hearing from you and try to answer all your comments 🙂

      1. Good 😊 waiting in Leeuwarden with friends to head further north on Monday. Then we pick up our rental boat. I had better get myself organised for breakfast! I’m hungry 😊
