Love the photos but love the name Tumbarumba even more. Surely you made that up?

Nope, it’s a ridgy-name here in OZ. It’s Aboriginal and means ‘hollow sounding hills’ – when the kangaroos jumped across the ground it made a toomba-roomba sound. Thanks for stopping by for a chat 🙂

Some of your Aussie names are very strange though, nice to know they actually derive from somewhere. I wanna hear that toomba-roomba sound as the kangaroos jump past now.

Beautiful, Debbie! Always interesting to read the tidbits about other countries, and of course you are heading into Fall/Winter! Enjoy your waning daylight!

Thanks Terri, yes we’re falling into Autumn slowly but surely although the days are still quite warm. I’m off to Aqua Aerobics at the local pool shortly, but unfortunately it will close for the season at the end of this week.

Beautiful sunrise photos, Debbie! I love the tall trees and I’m imagining the kangaroos jumping here and there. Are the kangaroos afraid of people or are they aggressive when they see people? Or are they just indifferent? #lifethisweek

Thanks Natalie, I love a good sunrise too. Kangaroos are generally scared of us and bounce away as soon as they see or hear us coming. Rarely are they dangerous but if provoked that’s a different story.

Love those beautiful rays of light Deb. Morning is my best time and at home I think I need to get out into that sunshine. Well that will soon be easier when it isn’t a million below zero. 🙂

Waking up with the day is a simple pleasure but one that lasts all day. Waking up with the day in the country is even better. Waking up with the day in the country in Autumn with the magpies warbling is absolutely the best.

I agree with you Jo, a lovely way to start the day.

Very pretty Deb – I must say I prefer sunsets to sunrises because I don’t have to get up early to see them! It’s why I admire sunrise photos – I get the beauty without the sacrifice 🙂

It’s a win/win for you Leanne!! You are so sensible 😂. I will admit that since I’ve retired I’ve not been up too early on very many occasions. This particular day I had to go to work (shock/horror) and be there by 8am!!!!!! Luckily I don’t work too many days anymore, I’d be permanently exhausted. Thanks for your comment it made me smile. 😊
