Getting up close and personal

Come closer for #SundayStills

This week #SundayStills is all about close up/macro photography.

How do you get close enough?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am not a ‘real’ photographer. I just like playing around and trying to get good shots that appeal to me. I am not technically minded and I’m not good at editing.

I have had a few shoots with my sister and her husband, who are very creative and technically adept photographers. I have picked up a lot of tips from them and always enjoy being with them and seeing how they work it all out.

I’m afraid I just like doing my own thing! These rose shots were taken late one afternoon with my camera and ‘borrowed’ macro lens.

I wanted to capture the ‘swirls’ inside the rose and I must say I’m quite happy with the end results.

I’ve also shared some other photos of my favourite flowers.

My champagne rose

My orange flowers

My yellow flowers

My purple rose

Well that was fun! I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have 🙂

Sunday Stills – what’s it all about?

Terri from Second Wind Leisure Perspectives, is the host of Sunday Stills and very generously offers a photo prompt each week on a Sunday! Like minded people can write a post, share a photo or two and see how others have interpreted the theme each week. It’s a fun way to engage with others and share photos with a wider audience.

And it sometimes makes you think – which is good for our brains as we age 🙂

Sunday Stills photo challenge

I know I always enjoy seeing what others come up with for these weekly prompts 🙂

How about you?

What was your favourite photo?

I always love hearing your thoughts, so leave me a comment below!

Have a great week.
