Shout Out Saturday#6 – Would you like to give someone a shout out??

Welcome to Shout Out Saturday

What’s it all about?

Shout Out Saturday is where I invite you to join in by leaving a link or a comment to something that has had an impact on you recently:

You can leave a link to your own blog, or maybe something you’ve read on someone else’s blog, or tell us about your favourite blogger, or simply share some good news, or even just drop in to say hello….

No Rules

No strings attached, simply leave a comment below; check out any other links if you want to; use the #ShoutoutSaturday if you want to; there’s no need to get caught up too much in compulsory sharing or other rules – just keep it family friendly and we’ll all be happy!

Blogging, to me, is all about community, engagement and sharing. What does it mean to you?

Remember Saturday can cover any day of the week

My Shout Out(s) this week go to….

1. The Birthday Girl

My granddaughter Miss Millie Moo turned two this week and it’s so exciting being around a two year old. She’s always busy, chatting, wanting cuddles, playing, reading books, running, eating – that you can’t rest for a minute!

Even when Granny does her back while playing on the floor, it’s all systems go! Swimming lessons, a trip to the zoo, birthday cake and non-stop fun! (Lucky for Granny the warm water at the pool helped her back and she managed to do the lesson with Miss E due to mummy being unwell).

Oh what fun we have!!

So happy happy birthday – Miss Millie Moo is now 2 🙂

I love the before and after the zoo photos – we were both caught dozing on the way home. It was a huge day. And why didn’t anyone tell me I still had chocolate on my chin??

Just a few of my favourite pics. I missed her first birthday last year, due to being in England last year with Dottie but I’m here with bells on this year!

This is the post I wrote soon after her birth, as she was my first grandchild – Have you ever fallen in love?

2. Shout out to The Dictionary of Lost Words

A fabulous read I finished this week – have you read it?

If you don’t know what it’s about, this link from Goodreads explains it – highly recommended 🙂

Care to Share??

Are you keen to share something? I hope so – just leave a comment or a link!

Has someone done something nice for you, have you witnessed a random act of kindness, have you read something interesting or watched a good movie lately?

Anything really – it’s over to you!

As always, feel free to share and get the word out there #ShoutoutSaturday

Thanks again for all your support, it’s much appreciated.

Deb 🙂

  1. Happy birthday to that precious bundle of energy, Millie Moo. I have a Cady Coo, Cia Sue and a Cami, too. Of course, those aren’t their real names but I have to give everyone a nickname. Sounds like you kids had the best birthday weekend. Haven’t been to the zoo in ages. They aren’t open here in El Paso. Maybe next spring.
Opened the Goodreads link for the book. I had pinned it when you mentioned it in an earlier post. Just love the cover and the title. So glad to know it is good.

    1. Thanks Leslie, your granddaughters are just gorgeous, like the grandmother! We had a great time together and the zoo was a very happy surprise with how good it was. Hope you enjoy the book!

    1. Hi Jen, it was so good to be able to get to see Emilia for her birthday. I know I’m lucky to be able to do that compared to many others and I really appreciated it.
The book was a fab read, hope you enjoy it too.

  2. What a fun idea Deb! Shout out to you for sharing. I’d also like to give a shout out to our new neighbors, Becky and Randy, that brought us homemade chocolate chip cookies. Few things make one feel more welcome than that. And finally a shout out to the Action for Happiness September Self-care Calendar: https://www.actionforhappiness.org/self-care-september?fbclid=IwAR1H9iqB9VX4-OlC2qV3klrvvH6bBDtKSOlK5H1M_Mh0l2LMij0d9Tqyiqs

  3. Hi Deb, such a cute little girl. And I can relate that 2 years old are non-stop going…but so much fun at the same time. My grandson is also 2 and I love now that we sort of can have a few conversations LOL I’m so behind in reading posts, but trying to catch up. Here’s a cake I made for the second time last Sunday as I was really craving it. It was as delicious as I remember. https://simplylise.com/moist-orange-cake/
    Thanks 🙂

    1. Oh 2 year olds are so much fun Lise, I just love seeing them learn and grow in lots of ways. Yes ‘sort of conversations’ are fun aren’t they? I love orange cake so I’m popping over there now 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

  4. Hi, Debbie – Miss-Milly-Moo-Who-Is-Now-Two is absolutely gorgeous! I’m glad that you weren’t driving home from the Zoo. 😀
Thank you for another chance to shout out. This week, I’d like to mention Liesbet Collart of https://www.roamingabout.com/. She recommended the following pizza recipe. Fun to make and delicious to eat. Win-Win!

    1. Hi Donna, yes Emilia is just gorgeous and so much fun at this age! We were both plum tuckered out after our big day at the zoo. I love pizza so will definitely have a look at that recipe! Thanks very much for sharing 🙂

  5. Happy birthday Millie! What an adorable child! My older son moves out today so we will officially be empty nesters after 28 years of motherhood. It’s a lot less emotional than when my first son moved out 6 months ago but I’ve still shed a few tears. Shout out to my long suffering husband who has put up with my smelly, noisy and messy sons for the last nine years. We can finally have our house to ourselves
    Have a lovely weekend
