How do sunflowers react to being left alone during a heatwave? #WordlessWednesday

Happy sunflowers make me smile, but sad sunflowers turn my smile upside down 😦

We went away for a few days during a heatwave and this is how I found my sunflowers when I got home.

A bit sad but still beautiful! Thankfully they perked up with some much needed water.

Let your smile change the world, but don’t let the world change your smile.

As my last Wordless Wednesday featured my bright and bold sunflowers, it seemed fitting to share these shots of them a week or so after that happier post.

Aren’t they beautiful in their own way? Much like us 🙂

    1. Yes Donna, I was really worried about them when i first got home but they came back after a while and since then we’ve had good rain so they are looking OK again. Thank you for your kind words.

  1. Lovely words and photos Deb. I guess it’s a bit like us humans, leave us alone too long with no nourishment and we’d wilt too. But a bit of love and some kind words goes a long way. Have a great day. xx😊🌻
