Bright smiles – and square!

Bright Squares

It’s a BIG day here in Tumbarumba today!

Our long awaited Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail is officially opening despite being opened virtually a year ago!

This is our third attempt at an official opening, due to Covid restrictions, and it’s actually happening today!! I’m off to start the celebrations in a moment and I couldn’t be happier or prouder to be part of such a great team of volunteers

I have been VERY involved in the process and one of the guiding lights on the opening event committee, so today it all happens!

I had the bright idea of getting some Facebook and Instagram frames for along the trail so users can take their photos and share to social media. The Mathematician and I installed them the other afternoon so of course I had to get the first shots!!

Wish me luck as we head out to host a huge day of Family Fun along the rail trail today! It’s been a long time coming and I’m just one of a great team of people who have been working hard to make it a success!

Becky’s square theme for April is Bright – it’s a challenge where she posts a photo every day. She invites others to join her in sharing their square photos, either every day or as they feel the urge. I’m dipping in and out through the month but am enjoying looking for all things bright and beautiful.

Feel free to join in with Becky and the Squares, the more the merrier.

Bright is a lovely theme to keep our spirits up, wouldn’t you agree?

Also joining Natalie for her Weekend Coffee Share this week.

Enjoy!

Deb 🙂

  1. Congratulations, Debbie! Such an awesome trail and its milestone deserves a big celebration. Great idea to install the photo ops frames. They’re popular in many events we have here in my city. Thank you for sharing your bright smiles and special moments with #WeekendCoffeeShare.

  4. Whoo hoo Debbie! Strive on and I am sorry about early retirement. I hate it when it happens to anyone. I too will be made redundant one day as it is about who you know and not what you know. Enjoy your retirement and I am so pleased you are taking charge and putting the fun in your life. I wish I had your gumption to do so.

    1. Thanks Denyse, it was really good although a brisk day weather-wise! The frames were a great addition and got a lot of use. They were easy to order and not too expensive 🙂
