What did the fish say when he swam into the wall? #SundayStills

There’s water in the dam

Water is the prompt for Terri’s #sundaystills this week.

We are away from home at the moment helping to sort out my mother-in-law’s house. The beautiful autumn sunshine keeps drawing us outside and seems to warm our souls. It’s quite addictive and gives us an excuse to take plenty of breaks!

Walks and bike rides also feature in our ‘breaks’ and I took a walk down to check out the dam on the property late yesterday afternoon. The reflections of the gum trees on the surface of the water were calming and peaceful, so I decided to try to capture them to share with you for #SundayStills.

This is an edited version of one of my photos, made to look like an artwork, it really appeals to me. What do you think?

Another nearby dam, Flat Rock Creek Dam, is always a good place to ride or walk to when I’m here, and I often stop and take photos from the bridge. I shared this in one of the yellow wattle my bright squares post for Becky’s Squares last week. She kindly shared it in her excellent gallery wrap up post Bright Shiny Things

These Flat Rock Creek Dam shots are from my archives, it seems I’ve been taking photos of the dam for quite some years!

I look forward to seeing the posts from others linking up to Terri’s Sunday Stills, featuring water in all its forms.

Thanks for stopping by! Remember – never test how deep the water is with both feet.

Debbie 🙂

Answer to the question in my title –

  1. Hi Deb – lovely Autumn photos – the weather has been beautiful here too (love this time of the year!) It’s been great for family visits and for getting out and about (and scooting everywhere while I can). I pinned your gum tree reflection xx

    1. Thanks Ju-Lyn, it’s not been easy at all and we’ve only just scratched the surface. The riddle helped keep me from being too distressed by it all.
