Welcome to Day #10 of Tree Squares

A cool start to the day

Saturday dawned crisp, cool and a tad frosty.

Here’s my photo for Day 10 of Becky’s Tree Squares where the only rule is that the main photo has to be a square!

This tree has featured in a few of my tree posts so far – see the frost melting off the tree?

Also, can you see that one last red leaf just hanging on?

Be that leaf and hang in there!

Becky’s Squares

Becky’s square theme for July is Trees – here’s a link to her post today – it’s a monthly challenge where Becky posts a square photo every day and invites us all to join in, either daily or spasmodically as the whim takes us! I’m posting spasmodically. There’s no pressure to join in every day 🙂

After taking this early morning shot, I joined a group as an ‘extra’ for a promotional video being made for an upcoming marathon on our rail trail – can I now say I’ve run a marathon or is that being a bit too bold? I spent the rest of the day riding my bike from Tumbarumba to Rosewood, with friends for our regular Social Saturday ride. A lovely crisp winter’s day here, it was so good to get out and about!

Deb is a young-at-heart & active 60+ blogger/retiree, after being made redundant from her 22-year career managing education programs in a men’s correctional centre (jail).   2. Noticing nature is THE best and you do it so well.

    I did a lockdown walk about 300 metres from home yesterday where I walked past, and stopped to take photos of details I never see in the car. I have shared some already and others I will keep for future posts. An art teacher told me years ago in adult drawing class, “the more you look, the more you see” and I remember that! Thank you for linking up for LifeThisWeek. It’s always good to see you link up a post. Next week, the optional prompt is 29/51 Please. 19 July.     1. Thanks Denyse, I think we both do the observing nature very well, it’s a great way to stay grounded isn’t it? It’s so true that saying, the. more you look the more you see 🙂

  4. How cool! You’re a legit movie star now and you can totally say you’ve run a marathon now! Love your pics, as always and I love that leaf hanging on to that tree – I feel like it’s a great metaphor for some of us in NSW right now, just hanging in there! Hope you’re staying safe and well and have a great week x

  6. Well spotted! (on that last red leaf).One thing I’ve noticed in lockdown, I become hyper aware (and weirdly excited) by these small details in the streets and gardens on the dog walk. My camera roll gets very weird – ha! I try not to influence my Instagram too much but some of them creep in there. It’s probably a good exercise in Macro/Micro vision….#Lifethisweek

    1. Isn’t it funny how we become more observant and excited about things at certain times, I’m also excited when these types of things come to my attention, that last leaf was like a metaphor of the times!

    1. It’s been fun to look back at photos and take new ones with this challenge in mind Erica. Yesterday morning was really quite chilly but it turned into a gorgeous day so I’m not complaining! Enjoy your summer 🙂
