It is with great pleasure that I am sharing an interview I did with Sue from Women Living Well after 50, all about my year of Living Bold!

You can either watch it on video or listen to it as a podcast – all the details are here in Sue’s post.

In this episode of Sue’s very popular vlogcast series we discussed:

  1. BOLD!  What exactly the Word of the Year is and what Deb’s process was to select a word
  2. Why BOLD?
  3. How BOLD influenced the way Deb is living life
  4. Ways Deb has been BOLD this year
  5. What stops us from being BOLD
  6. Deb shares her three top tips for living a BOLD life
  7. Deb also shares what being a Woman Living Well means to her.

If you’re not sure what my BOLD year is all about, you can read more here It’s all about being BOLD in 2021

Sue has recently been featured in an article in The Age newspaper – I’m only halfway through midlife, so you can imagine how chuffed I am to be a part of her blog!

Hope you enjoy watching or listening and thanks again to Sue for having me as a guest.

I’d love to know what you think!

  1. Hi Deb, I loved your interview with Sue. You’re certainly embodying the word of the year and good for you! The world needs more boldness tempered with fun, playfulness and positivity. Love the description of the magpie too: “She doesn’t sit on the edge of life, she is clever she is strong …” that’s wonderful. Stay bold and true to yourself my friend, you’re very inspiring. xx 😊

  2. Good interview. It was an excellent reminder to me that one doesn’t have to live their WOTY with 100 and 100 of the time. I’ve been struggling the last couple of weeks and the interview helped me focus and remember to review the word and yet not beat myself up about the tough couple of weeks where inspire or inspired disappeared from my world. Thanks Bernie

    1. I’m glad the interview resonated with you Bernie. It’s so true, we shouldn’t beat ourselves up and just do what we can when we can. It’s very tough for everyone at the moment, please take of yourself!

      1. My issues are sibling related and not Covid. Just put my mom in a nursing home and toes were stepped on by me (definitely unintentionally) and it’s a big ugly ball of mess. But Covid is back for round 4 in Canada so there is that. I am double vaccinated as are most people I know but we still have to be careful as the grandchildren can not be so we don’t want to transmit it to them. Take care and thanks again

  3. “Bold” is an excellent word for you, Deb, and for all women. I love your words, accountable, focus and purpose. I appreciate Sue’s words “aspire to.” Interesting how you brought up, ‘not a huge crowd’ at the library. I think most of us realize at this stage in life, inspiring just one person and possibly changing their life is sometimes the reward for ‘putting ourselves out there.’ I greatly admire you, Deb for any form of public speaking. One of my greatest fears.

Sue, I appreciated your wise words about ‘being the person who you really are.’

You both remind me about the saying where sometimes one plus one is greater than two when you have the right combination of wisdom, smarts, confidence, knowing who you are and articulate it well.❤️

I ended up teary watching the both of you. I know how you are both caring, genuine, authentic women. You make a difference in many people’s lives. You make a difference in my life. ❤️(You both look gorgeous and an excellent Vlog!)
