Deb is a young-at-heart & active 60+ blogger/retiree, after being made redundant from her 22-year career managing education programs in a men’s correctional centre (jail). She now spends her time reading, blogging, riding her ebike and travelling. Deb was awarded a Bravery Award from the Queen when she was 17 after a tragic accident – a definite life changing moment! What a sight!! I love that. I’ve seen something similar here in certain weather conditions, but smaller-scale and a different type of web. Still fascinating!

These remind me of the webs we see on cold frosty mornings in the Autumn and Winter months, Debbie. Those fields must contain many spiders, all weaving their webs to catch dinner.

The gossamer webs are incredible, Debbie, but I will have to take a cue from Hugh, that …what in the heck do these spiders look like, and how big are they? I think I might hesitate to walk through that field (although I don’t mind *most* spiders).

No, I have never seen that before! Australian spiders must be quite different to ours!

We see similar webs on cold frosty mornings here too Deb. They’re so ethereal (although I’m wondering if your post might scare off more tourists who think Australia is full of spiders and crocodiles!) 🙂

I’ve seen these before and they look particular beautiful after rain with the sun shining on the raindrops. Isn’t nature wonderful? xx
