Please note I will bold all of my 5* star ratings – I’m fairly strict with what I give 5 stars to, so you can be assured that these are my favourites.

My rating code: 1* did not finish/terrible; 2* OK; 3* enjoyable; 4* really good ; 5* excellent

Let’s see how many I get up to this year! I don’t set any rules or follow any plans, I just read what I feel like, what friends have recommended and what takes my eye. I rarely start a book and not finish it, but it does happen sometimes!

Are you on Goodreads? – you can join me 🙂

Friday Fiction this week has a theme of confronting books! It seems I’ve moved on from comfort reads. what are you reading at the moment?

I’d love to hear what you’re reading too. And any recommendations are always welcome 🙂

      1. I like your short way of keeping track I did that for a while, then I started writing reviews. That slowed me down a lot. Recently I haven’t even had time to read anything but blogs, so good for you! Your page inspires me to start in next year and set a reading goal. You have a great website. It’s well organized and interesting. 🙂

        1. Many thanks for your comments Marsha, I often wonder what people think when they visit my blog, so I do appreciate hearing your thoughts. It’s been a huge job to get it the way I want it and I’ve done it all myself, so a steep learning curve, but I’m in a happy place just now with it all. I’ve just updated my reading page as your comment reminded me that I needed to do it! Thanks 🙂

  1. Wow Deb. Such an amazing list. I will pick books from this list. Do you select books published this year only or just any book that you find interesting?
Do you read them on kindle? I recently saw that some books actually cost more to buy on kindle than to order a paperback copy.

    1. Hi Deepa, thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. To answer your questions I select any books that I have heard of, sound interesting and i usually read on a kindle. I use the local library’s app and download the books I want to borrow then return them digitally when I’m done. It works well.
