Weekly photo challenge: Threshold

This was a great first 5km Park Run event for me.

imageHere is my submission for this week’s photo challenge. It is a picture taken on my phone on the threshold of my first 5km Park Run.

I took this photo just as I was about to join over 127 others for the Lake Ginninderra Park Run which happens every Saturday morning at 8am.  All runners were being briefed on the event, the course and the organisation.

Park Runs are free events for runners all over the world and now that I am registered I can just turn up and run at any Park Run. They aren’t really competitive as you run against yourself and your recorded times. I think I ran very well and am pleased to say that I came first in my age group – according to the email I received just after the event. My first official PB, how exciting!! As I live over 250kms away…

Body age as compared to real age
