How to embarrass your 3 daughters in 1 post – Musings on Monday 1 May 2017

Pure Gold, afternoon light shining over the vineyard in Autumn

Welcome to my weekly Monday Musings   I have a confession to make - this is my very first 'How to..' post!  Not because I don't know how to do things but because I don't feel qualified to offer anyone advice, about anything. While out riding my bike today I had a great post fill my …

Globetrotters- G’day Debbie 👋

My daughter has featured me on her blog today – it really is all about me!!! Thanks Melanie, it’s a great post 🙂

the wandering darlings

This weeks Globetrotter is a special one as it’s my lovely MumDebbie

My mum and dad are solely responsible for my sisters and my traveling genes. They took us on our first overseas trip when we were little and that started us all off on trying to see as much as the world as possible. They are always off seeing or doing something new. From walking the Kokoda track (REPEATEDLY!), hiking in Nepal, exploring India, cycling through Europe or just exploring new places within Australia they truly are #travelgoals. I mean any two people that can take 3 girls under 9 on a 30 hour flight must have some awesome travel resilliance. She’s also managed to wave her daughters off from most airports and whilst I know she misses us all dearly she wants us to go and explore and see the world. As a previous teacher she…

Playing Favourites

Love my family

Playing favourites with my blog, not my children! As a parent I have always told my three daughters that I don't have favourites and I don't. They all have something unique about them and I love seeing how different they are to each other while at the same time being so similar it scares me! …

Hello my name is…awesome!

I don't often get requests for specific posts on my blog but recently I had a request for a post about how our daughters were named. This request came from my youngest daughter after she read a post where I told the story about how I was named Debbie. She wanted to know the story …

Girls just wanna have fun!

Underwater smiles

On the subject of FUN: This video shows my daughters and I racing at a trampoline park while on holidays over Christmas. We're not at all competitive! I'm the little one in black just in case you can't pick me!  One daughter yells out 'I've won' as she throws herself into the airbags, one does …

Sweet!

It's Easter and Hugh's photo challenge this week is all about things that are sweet.  I couldn't go past this photo (cue flashback) with 2 of my daughters at Easter time many years ago. Weren't they sweet?  I used to make a white rabbit cake every year when they were little. My mother in law started this …

Weekly Photo Challenge: Connected (with technology)

This week, show us how two (or more) things — people, objects, places — come together. The photo isn't the best but it was taken last night when two of my daughters were together in England and made a late night (our time) Face Time call to home.  It was such fun to see them …

Inspired by…..

What is your inspiration? What moves you? What is it that never fails to motivate you, to get you going, or make you happy?  These are the questions posted in the Weekly Photo Challenge with the theme Inspiration. In answer to the questions posed in this week's challenge - my 3 beautiful daughters inspire me - …

Silly season take 2

Here's a bit of silly season fun I thought I'd share with you all. My (grown-up) daughters didn't know what to think! I was worried after my previous silly season post that I might have been thought to be turning into a grumpy old woman but I think this proves I'm definitely not there yet...unless …

Why a blog? Day 3 challenge

I have always loved writing and reading.  I think the reason why I started writing a blog is that I love writing down my thoughts.  I'm not that sure if anyone else is interested in reading them but I do like to share. I have always kept a diary I wrote each of my children the story about their …
