I’m taking nothing for granted
Me π

Some words, despite it being Wordless Wednesday, from my post on Instagram this morning
Itβs our first morning home in Australia, after 2 months in England, and the air in Canberra is hot and smoky (with a poor air quality rating) – but not as bad as it has been apparently. Looking back at photos of our last day walking around London, how we appreciated the crisp clean air, the blue sky, the green grass and the sight of daffodils bulbs popping up in the gardens. Reminded me – take nothing for granted these days.
Home to Tumbarumba soon, where thereβs limited services and a fire still burning nearby.
Hope all is well in your world.
Take care.
Deb xx

I think of you every day. First thoughts have been of Dottie but since she seems to be getting along swimmingly these days, I think and pray for Australia, your home and your community. Continued prayers for your little joey, too!

I have been to those exact places when I was a flight attendant. π I’m envious, here in Toronto everything is grey and ick.

London looks lovely, just as lovely as I hope the places you treasure and adore in your part of Australia will return to one day, cleaner, clearer air, sky and all. Highest and Best! π

What lovely pictures! And the daffodils already so big … theyβre my favourite flower … silly really when there are so many more exotic ones, but Iβve loved them since I was a child. I saw some for sale outside a flower shop here in Manhattan a couple of weeks ago. There were ten bulbs in a small box … I wish I knew how to add a photo in here as I took one of them. They had a price tag of $75 … thatβs about Β£60 I guess!! I nearly fell over! Ridiculous! Anyway, thatβs Manhattan for you. Great pictures and lovely to see the daffs. Katie x

While I am sure you cannot wait to get back to your home town, it is going to be in a different condition to how you left it and I can imagine that will be upsetting, yet with the relief that your home is safe. I am pleased that England gave you some lovely winter sunshine and clear skies to end your extended holiday!

Yes exactly what you said! A variety of emotions and feelings at the moment. England was lovely most of the time and we enjoyed it all.

Hope Tumbarumba is starting to get a little cooler and that the fires are dying down. You must be desperate to get back and see how everything is looking at home.

Yes Jonno we are now home and settling into warmer weather. Our house is fine and we really are very lucky when we see the devastation around our town.

Love the pics. We’re planning a roadie to Tumba later in the year – with empty eskies of course!
