The Mother of all Classics – Musings on Monday 15 May 2017

Mother's Day 2017

Welcome to my weekly Monday Musings   The Mother of all Weeks -  We've just celebrated Mother's Day here in the land down under (and other places too) with lots of celebrations and sales of soaps, slippers and scarves.  I had a chuckle at the groups of  youngsters out shopping for that perfect gift for mum …

Blog of the Day: Deb’s World

Great to read Suzie’s comments about my blog in her Blog of the Day post! She has managed to sum up my blog in just a few paragraphs and I appreciate her support and encouragement:
I love everything about Debbie’s blog – the layout, the photographs, the topics… there is so much that I can personally relate to and I love her honesty and openness about her life experiences and things that she enjoys. In particular, I’m very jealous of the images that she shares of the places that she has seen – I’ve certainly added a few places to my bucket list because of her post.
And yet, for someone so talented, she is incredibly modest and a lovely person – she’s been an integral part of my Facebook group since it began and her comments and support of others have been instrumental in it’s growth.
Thanks again Suzie 🙂

debs-world

Meet Debbie, the creator of Deb’s World.

As a lifestyle blogger, she has one of the most interesting ‘About Me’ pages that I’ve ever seen. Here’s just a small selection…

I am Debbie – I am a wife; mother; daughter; sister; friend; blogger; reader; runner; walker; cyclist; Rail Trail enthusiast; traveller; Rotarian; Whovian; teacher.

And now I’m a retiree!!  Very early retirement!

I have three beautiful daughters who are all grown up and making their own way in the big wide world. I like to write about my family…

I am into keeping healthy and have learnt how to run again. I feel fantastic as a result of my efforts and I sometimes blog about my  running journey.

Share Your World – January 23 2017

I'm enjoying participating in Cee's Share Your World.  It's a great way to join with other bloggers to share our worlds. This week's questions are: Do you prefer juice or fruit? I like both, but at the moment I'm experimenting with  smoothies, so I am probably leaning more on the side of juice made of fruit! Did …

Fallen

fallen trees

My walk today was more like an Olympic obstacle event.  I was entered into the steeplechase, hurdles, running and the walking events.  Not quite a pentathlon. We have had so much rain lately that everywhere I walked there were trees down across the tracks and muddy puddles to negotiate. I had to problem solve every few …

Contemplation – Week 14: Challenges

Run quote

Hello! I really enjoy Desleyjane's weekly contemplation posts as they make me think about things - which I suppose is what contemplation is all about!  Each week desleyjane gives us a prompt from her journal and this week it is: What challenge did you overcome today? I admit to feeling very challenged lately, about all …

Numbers are taking over my world

Steep ride in Croatia

I feel like numbers are taking over my world one at a time! Ages, kilograms, kilometres, running, pace, distance, calories in, calories out, training, time, fitbit, clock, alarms, birthdays, passwords, logins, phone numbers, money, stats, notifications on my social media accounts, views of my blog, months of work left before I'm offered a redundancy, number …
