From my world to yours….across the planet and beyond

From my world to yours

Wherever you are in the world, whoever you’re with, whatever you’re doing, however you celebrate – I’m wishing you as happy a Christmas and holiday season as is possible, given the current constantly changing circumstances.

Many thanks for your continued support of my world. Blogging is an important part of my life and I couldn’t do it without you being a part of my world!

My Blogging World

2021 – what another year of anxiety, worry and concern – but also a year of love, kindness and gratitude!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy time over the holidays and here’s hoping your plans work out.

A lot can happen in a year!

My fingers (and toes) are crossed, as we have family travelling from interstate, and Covid anxiety hits me every now and again, I seem to be expecting something to stop it from actually happening. I think that’s a result of the year we’ve had, with so much uncertainty and angst.

I’m really looking forward to a ‘white sand’ kind of Christmas with warm sunshine and family fun, yes, we’re off to the beach for a few days with some of our family. We’ll be missing key people again this year but they will be in our thoughts and in some cases with us, via technology.

I haven’t seen my youngest daughter since February and my grandson has grown so much since I saw him for his first birthday back then. He only knows me though a screen at the moment. Here’s hoping we can build sandcastles with his cousins at the beach.

This is my last post for 2021, but never fear, I’ll be back early in the new year with a few roundup posts, plus the announcement of my Word of the Year for 2022!

Bold has been a great word during 2021 and I’ve totally embraced it.

I really do appreciate every one of you for your comments, your friendship, your generous shares and your non-stop encouragement, in what has been another challenging year.

  1. Merry Christmas Debbie! I hope it meets all your expectations. We decided not to gather as a large family this year because Omicron is surging in our area. Someone said that 2022 is read as “2020 too”. I just want to put 2020 and the pandemic in the history books! Happy New Year!

We are off to the UK on Dec 30 amid lots of uncertainty, with tests before and tests when we get there! But it will be wonderful to see my parents again and help them through the next few months

  6. Merry Christmas Debbie! Enjoy your trip. I hope it goes off without a hitch. Spending time in person with your grandson–and on the beach no less–sounds lovely. We are returning to our traditional Christmas Eve party with all my siblings and their children and grandchildren. I admit to having some COVID anxiety. We’ve done what we can–vaccines and testing–now I’m trying to release my worries and let the Universe do her thing.
