Wordless Wednesday
July 10, 2019

It’s harder than you think to go Wordless, but I try to do just that each Wednesday, by sharing a photo or two that (hopefully) tells a story.
Feel free to join in by posting a photo using the hashtag #WordlessWednesday – it’s quite liberating, especially for those of us who like words a little too much at times 🙂

Gorgeous depth of field in this one. I love wattle and looking forward to seeing some when we’re in Canberra & Eucumbene at the end of the month.

Thanks for that Jo! I was out practicing with my macro lens and couldn’t resist the wattle flowers (and other things) while out walking in the bush. It’s so different over on the south coast of NSW to what we have in our bush here in the Snowy’s. I just love the yellow!

I love the sharp details in the foreground and the blurred edges in the background. Awesome!!

Yes it was using my macro lens which gives this effect on purpose, I’m trying to extend myself!!

Thanks for that Jonno! Yes I have a nice little camera and a macro lens I’ve been playing around with lately. My sister and her husband are really good photographers and I try to take advice from them when I can. I must use the camera more often as I too like the quality and depth of field in this shot. Thanks agin for the encouragement 🙂 it’s always appreciated.

Ill never be able to think of the beautiful wattle without Monty Python ringing in my ears. I admit it: a cultural philistine. Lovely pics Deb.

Gorgeous shot, Debbie! I posted my first WW post today and it was wordy, LOL! I’ve never seen wattles so I got to see something new!

They are very pretty but can cause a lot of allergies in some people. I just loved trying to capture the flowers and am quite pleased with my results. Thanks so much Terri, I’m popping over to see your post now. Don’t worry about being wordy….

Hi Deb, after you mentioned Wattle I saw some and thought of you. I still remember Wattle Day at school wear we all wore a sprig but I actually thought it was later in the year. Lovely photos as usual. xx

Yes I agree Sue, I always thought it was later in the year like August/September, it seems to be getting earlier every year! It won’t be out here in Tumbarumba anytime soon, it’s far too cold!
