Water Droplets
Sunday Stills is all about Water Droplets this week and I confess to having tried, with varying success, to capture that moment just before they drop, hence the title of today’s post.

Before you give up, think about why you held on so long.
Anonymous
I’ve also enjoyed trying to capture water drops on flowers.

I captured these drops of dew a few years ago and still love them!

Then there’s the rain drops and the sunroom. I love the abstract look!

What’s not to love about water droplets?

Keep holding on for as long as you can!
Thanks for joining me today, it’s been fun looking at drops of Jupiter, I mean water 🙂
Enjoy your Sunday and let me know if you also try to capture the perfect, but elusive, to me anyway, drop shot. How did I go?
Deb xx

Lovely pics, as well as a great title that’s pretty apt, considering I’ve been writing novels for a bit now and am considering putting it on the back burner since things have been slow. Thanks for this!

So pleased to have helped Stuart! Keep going with it. I loved the quote when I found it earlier this morning. Just perfect for many of us this year and it suited my post too!!

Flowers always photograph so much better with a droplet of water or dew – raindrops on roses…..

Wonderful captures. That peach colored rose with the droplets is so delicate. What a color!! Reminds me of the homemade peach ice cream my father would churn. Years ago.

Your photos are fabulous Deb. You really captured the water droplets well. I’m sorry to say that I gave up. We had a wet week so there was every opportunity but I didn’t produce anything decent at all

Thanks Jen, I love trying to get the water droplets and some worked better than others. Most are from my archives so it wasn’t too hard to collate them all. No problem with giving up every now and again!

I found your post on Twitter, Debbie! You really have the lens captures of water droplets down pat, so many gorgeous ones! I remember that song Drops of Jupiter. I end up capturing the drops better with my phone zoomed in. Yeah, not patient…I’ve been known to get the spray bottle out and hurry the droplet process along, LOL!

Gorgeous photos Deb and there is something special about capturing droplets of water hanging on and waiting for them to fall. I loved the quote because with anything it really comes back to your ‘why’ doesn’t it? Have a lovely week and chat soon. #lifethisweek.

Hi Sue, yes the quote really appealed to me for lots of reasons and it suited the water droplets hanging on too. Thanks – it was good going through my archives and sharing some old and newer photos of water droplets, who knew I had taken so many over the years??

Hi Deb – I love photos of water droplets (I even have a Pinterest board of Dandelions and Dewdrops) and Drops of Jupiter’s chorus “she walks like Summer and acts like rain” always touches my heart for some unknown reason.

A great title, Deb. It made me think on many levels. Exceptionally beautiful photos! We had a lot of rain on our camping trip. Difficult to capture photos and try not to let the lens get wet. Also, fun. 🙂

Hi Deb, I love that saying and it’s very true for how I feel some days! Your photos are truly beautiful. My lens always seems to fog up if I try to take photos in the rain. Plus I’m too impatient to really give it a decent go. Regards, Christina
