Tree Square – Day #27
After all my recent whinging and whining about the greyness, coldness and pure miserableness of winter, I am happy to say today dawned sunny and crisp, with blue skies.

Over the weekend, I shared a foggy wintry shot on Instagram, which said more about my mood than words could say, and my cousin made a lovely comment:
I can imagine that someone as bright as you, wouldn’t like the grey.
Meg
This comment made me smile and showed me that I was ‘known’, and understood. No judgement just recognition of how I am.
Today is a new day
So today I shared a photo of one of tallest trees in the garden, reaching up to the blue sky, with the caption:
Things are looking up! Blue sky and sunshine – at least for today. My cousin said it best ‘I can imagine that someone as bright as you wouldn’t like the grey’ and how right she was. The long endless grey days are not for me, although I know we have to expect them in winter. Let’s just say, I really needed to see this sunshine today

Becky’s square theme for July is Trees – it’s a monthly challenge where she posts a square photo of a tree (in some form) every day and she invites us all to join in, either daily or spasmodically as the whim takes us! It’s great seeing everyone’s posts from around the world.
We’re nearly at the end of the month of trees!
Deb 🙂

PS: A brief apology (#sorrynotsorry) to some readers who may get tired of my extra posts and my photos of trees – but it’s a warm wintry welcome to my world! I have a lot of trees around my place so this is something I’m enjoying!

Meg is just so lovely, she was actually a flower girl at our wedding. I loved her comment so much!

Gorgeous, I actually like the gray fog as long as it stays in the picture. 🙂

Yes I’m with you Marsha, I can take the odd grey day but too many and I’d prefer them to stay in the photo!

I’m glad the sun is shining for you Deb. Too many gray days in a row can get tough for me as well. Right now we are dealing with smoke…from the Oregon fires, I understand. I, for one, am not tired of your tree shots. I quite enjoy them. Thanks for sharing. Here’s to sunny days!

Hi Christie, sorry to hear you have smoke, that’s really not good at all for you. I’m happy that you have enjoyed my tree shots, it’s been good to have a focus this month with so much going on in the world around us.
