Mornings are the best part of the day – Weekly Photo Challenge

Anyone for tea?TeaThis week’s photo challenge asks for an image of what a typical ‘morning’ looks like.  Every morning starts with a cup of tea in a mug when I’m at home, but as I’m visiting my parents at the moment, we use the lovely white cup and saucer set for the first of our numerous cups of tea a day.

Now you may wonder why the photo shows a black cup and saucer when I’ve just told you specifically that we use the white cup and saucer set – well that’s because I sometimes enjoy editing photos while sipping on my cup of tea.  Especially when they turn out to be very boring photos of a white cup and saucer with black tea. I decided to reverse the image just for fun.

I used the Pixlr app on my phone to convert the original photo to black and white then the Over app to insert the word into the tea.

While I’m away from home in the warmth (compared to my usual frozen place of abode), I have enjoyed walking at sunrise.  I love an early morning walk, it’s great thinking time, it helps me to prepare for the day ahead, I get a good start on my 10000 steps and I enjoy the many different sights and smells along the way, especially when I’m away from home.  I’m definitely a morning person.

I know this challenge asked us to think beyond the usual sunrise sort of image for the ‘morning’ theme but I couldn’t resist including a few of my morning photos from my walks earlier this week. I hope that’s OK!!

Love to see pictures of my beautiful country! and that first shot – i was wondering about it, so I think that is great – editing the photo while drinking from the cup! how freshly brewed is that! Very glad to see some other coffee-intolerants here. Occasionally, like once every three years, i might have a cafe latte, a weak one. I like the smell but other than that, it makes me sick. So like your ‘married to an italian’ correspondent up there, on our recent trip to Italy – many Roman cafes did not have tea. How uncivilised!

      1. Almost ditto in that respect too. I used to hate, hate, HATE coffee. Tried it every way, the smell made me sick. But try being married to an Italian and not drinking coffee. I succumbed a few years ago and occasionally drink it with lots of sugar.
