Bloggers helping out other bloggers – it’s what we do! #WWWhimsy

Helping out

Min from Write of the Middle has been having a hard time lately as her mother recently moved into aged care and now sadly is unwell in hospital.

Min reached out to Sue from Women Living Well After 50 and I, asking if we’d be available to help out with hosting her weekly linkup #WWWHIMSY, given her mum’s recent surgery and the overwhelmingness of it all.

Of course we both said yes – anything we can do to help lighten Min’s load. In fact it’s an honour to be asked to help out!

Your can read Min’s latest update post here where she explains what’s been going on – and it’s a LOT! I’m sure you join with us both wishing Min and her mum a speedy recovery.

So it is that Sue and I are now guest co-hosting the weekly #WWWhimsy linkup for the next few weeks or until Min feels ready to resume her blogging.

Join us for Wednesday Words and Whimsy #WWWhimsy

You can find the link below and please don’t be put off if there’s a message saying the link up isn’t working. Just click on the link and add your post to the link up and Sue and I will visit and comment instead of Min.

The linkup opens at 5am (Australian Eastern Standard Time) Wednesday mornings and closes at 6am on Friday mornings, and is open to everyone wherever you are in the world!

Min explains her idea for the Wednesday Words and Whimsy linkup here in her introductory post:

WEDNESDAY … because we will connect as a blogging community every Wednesday!

WORDS … because as bloggers, we all love crafting our words and sharing them, or we wouldn’t blog!

&

WHIMSY … because I’ve always been drawn to this word and because it means cool stuff like:

* playfully quaint or fanciful behaviour or humour

* unusual, funny, and pleasant ideas or qualities

* an odd or fanciful or capricious idea

… and I love authentic and interesting people with fanciful ideas and humour so whimsy just seemed perfect!

Min from Write of the Middle

So basically anything goes – new posts, old posts, only one post per blogger and if you can try to visit some of the others who have linked up that would be great!

Sue and I are looking forward to reading and commenting on your posts.

Wishing you a lovely week ahead!

  1. Wow!

It’s great to see how caring are we for each other and that should be our sole purpose as we are all globally connected. Make friends, help each other and build a community where everyone thrives should be our first and foremost duty.

Thanks Deb for this inspiring post.

  2. Thanks so much Deb and Sue for helping me out. With spending every day up at the hospital I have no free time for blogging at present and I’m exhausted when I get home. Thanks so much for helping me out with #WWWhimsy – it’s so very appreciated! Hoping I can get back to a bit more of a normal life again before too long! xoxo

    1. We’re happy to help out Min and honoured that you’d ask us to do so! Sending positive thoughts your way and hoping you are getting some rest in between time at the hospital, it’s such a worrying time for you and the family. xx

    1. Thanks Christie for your lovely comment (twice I think). We are able to help out so why not do it if it will help Min out? I like the title too as it says it all doesn’t it 🙂

  5. You both are so kind! My mom is 97 and recently spent a week in the hospital, so I can appreciate the demands. We hired a 24/7 caregiver to sit with her. Expensive but it was worth it for my sister and me to have the support and assurance she was cared for.
