Mundane Monday – texture and colour

Colourful building facade

Facade

Adding a bit of colour to your  Monday so that it’s not too mundane.  It’s a public holiday for most of Australia today, thanks to the Queen’s birthday celebrations,  so it’s definitely a great way to start the week.

This building is in Canberra and the size of this facade was really large, my photo doesn’t show the scale at all. I was attracted initially to its amazingly bright colours in an otherwise drab city scape, but then I saw all the patterns, textures and angles –  not to mention the two black bits. I wonder if that was a quirky gesture from the designers or they just ran out of red bits? What do you think?

I decided that it would make a great mundane Monday shot to share with you all.

Mundane Monday Challenge is hosted by Jithin at Trablogger   – it’s all about finding the beauty in mundane things ….a challenge created to find beauty in everyday mundane things…capture the beauty and upload the photographs. Feel free to join in!

As usual my photo has been taken with my iPhone6S, edited sparingly.

Welcome to  Mundane Monday .

Deb 🙂
